Chester is a picturesque town on the river Dee in Cheshire, not too far from Liverpool. Chester has a wide range of activities available to visitors, from simply walking round the compact city centre and spectacular shopping to visiting the very visible Roman ruins which are dotted through the town. The Chester Rows are continuous half-timbered galleries, reached by steps, which form a second row of shops above those at street level along Watergate Street, Northgate Street, Eastgate Street and Bridge Street. The Rows are unique in the world to Chester, and nobody is quite sure why they were built in this way. Some original 13th century buildings, including the Three Old Arches in Bridge Street, have survived the ravages of time, but many of the impressive facades are Victorian copies.

Over 1,000 years of history are reflected in the magnificent architecture and intricate 14th century woodcarvings of Chester Cathedral which stands in the heart of the city. Formerly St Werburgh's Abbey, it was transformed to a cathedral in the 1540s and remains one of the best preserved examples of a Benedictine abbey in England.

Liverpool has world-class tourist attractions, with more museums and galleries anywhere outside of London, Liverpool’s culture and heritage are at the very heart of the city. The city is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known worldwide as the birthplace of the Beatles.

You’ll always find a fantastic selection of things to do, visit Albert Dock, tour the Beatles Story, view the art in Tate Liverpool, stroll along by the Mersey or take a boat trip on the river for a panoramic view of Liverpool's iconic skyline, for excellent shopping & eating Liverpool One is the place to go!

Located on the seafront of Rhyl the 1,031 seat Pavilion Theatre is managed by Denbighshire County Council. The theatre was designed to accommodate a variety of productions from plays to pantomimes. This year's pantomime is Aladdin with performances from 12th December to 5th January.
