The world's largest and most vibrant annual flower show welcomes you with an explosion of colour and fragrance. The idyllic setting in the parkland of Henry VIII's favourite palace is transformed for six sumptuous summer days. The spacious grounds showcase an exciting range of flowers, plants and gardening accessories, giving you the opportunity to both browse and buy. Show and Water Gardens, Floral Marquees and demonstrations guarantee a lively summer's day out for everyone.


Kew Gardens

Visit the world's largest collection of living plants - The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew usually referred to as Kew Gardens, a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is an internationally important botanical research and education institution with 700 staff, as well as a visitor attraction receiving over two million visits each year. Created in 1759, the gardens celebrated their 250th anniversary in 2009.

Friday 5th July

A morning departure from Cumbria as we make a coffee stop en route to Packwood House, Park & Gardens near Lapwood in Warwickshire. This timber-framed Tudor manor house has been owned by the National Trust since 1941 and is a Grade I listed building. It has a wealth of tapestries and fine furniture and is known for the garden of yews. Admire the stunning herbaceous borders and enjoy views across the gardens and parkland from the seventeenth century brick gazebos or discover Packwood's lake which features a circular stroll through a wooded glade. We leave late afternoon for the remainder of the journey towards London and our hotel the Crowne Plaza at Heathrow. Once we have checked into the hotel, dinner is served.


Saturday 6th July

A full day visit to Hampton Court Flower Show organised by the Royal Horticultural Society. This very popular annual event is set to the backdrop of the magnificent Hampton Court Palace and the River Thames, the 25 acres site includes show gardens, water gardens, floral marquees, garden accessories, furniture, a craft village, live entertainment and a host of places to eat and drink.We leave late afternoon for the journey back to our hotel, The Crowne Plaza where following dinner we have the evening at leisure.

Sunday 7th July

After breakfast we leave our hosts at the Crowne Plaza and travel to Kew, here we have a fascinating and informative visit the Royal Botanical Gardens with over 30 acres containing more than 50,000 plant species both outdoors and in greenhouses. We leave Kew early afternoon for the journey home to Cumbria arriving late evening.
