Admire drifts of spring snowdrops on this weekend break

Burton Agnes

This winter, let the Snowdrop Spectacular at Burton Agnes Hall bring you out of hibernation. Wrap up warmly and enjoy the breathtaking display of snowdrops at Burton Agnes Hall, where every February, millions of hardy snowdrops push through the cold winter ground to create a magnificent ‘white carpet’ across the woodland floor at the Cunliffe-Listers’ Elizabethan family home.

‘Our snowdrop walk makes a truly memorable day out at the end of a long winter,’ says Simon Cunliffe-Lister. ‘The beautiful little flowers are such a welcome sight, and grow in numbers each year. This biblical symbol of hope reminds us that winter eventually gives way to spring, and announces the new season'.

Many treats await visitors in the courtyard. In the cafe, visitors can enjoy homemade meals using fresh produce from the gardens and indulgent treats. The Hall’s ‘Home and Garden’ Shop and Gift Shop are brimming with fun and original gifts and dried flowers from the walled garden as well as seasonal and Yorkshire-made produce including fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden.

Time for coffee in this delightful town prior to heading to Ripon, time at leisure for lunch and to explore the market square and wonderful Cathedral.
