Italy's most popular lake coupled with a day through the magnificent Dolomites

The beautiful lakeside towns around Lake Garda (Lago di Garda) have charmed foreign visitors for centuries. Even for the ancient Romans, the area was a luxury summer destination.

Riva del Grada

With a Mediterranean climate, wide sunny beaches and beautiful scenery Riva del Garda is the main centre of Northern Lake Garda. The mild climate favours a typically Mediterranean vegetation with lemon trees, olive trees, laurels and palm trees: a true Mediterranean island at the foot of the Dolomites. The centre of Riva del Garda will fascinate you with its works of art and architecture.

Sirmione

Known to everyone as “ the pearl of the islands and peninsulas”, Sirmione is famous for it’s thermal water with it’s healing properties. Situated on the south bank of Lake Garda on a long and narrow peninsula that divides the gulfs of Desenzano and Peschiera, Sirmione was made even more famous thanks to writers such as Catullo, Stendhal, Lawrence and Goethe that honoured its artistic and environmental beauty. The city centre is characterised by the narrow alleys with the walls of stone,  offering its visitors romantic and panoramic views. Today Sirmione is one of the most important tourist centres of the Garda Lake.

Dolomites

Rolling green hills dotted with charming villages are intersected abruptly with dramatic craggy mountains that pierce the sky! Welcome to the Italian Dolomites an area of oustanding scenery, spectacular views & natural beauty. The city of Trento is set in a wide glacial valley guarded by the crenellated peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, amid a patchwork of vineyards and apple orchards. While there's no doubt you're in Italy, Trento does have its share of Austrian influence: apple strudel is ubiquitous and beer halls not uncommon.

Verona

Verona is one of the main tourist destinations in eastern Italy, thanks to its artistic heritage, several annual fairs, shows and operas, such as the lyrical season in the Arena, the ancient amphitheatre built by the Romans and being the ficticious home of Romeo and Juliet
